Stage 5: The termination stage.
This is the stage where narcissists sing Ariana Grande’s “Thank you, next” or they will entirely terminate the relationship like a manufacturer phasing out a product; that is how exactly narcissists discard their partners. Breakups usually result in heartbreaks, but this one inspires relief and freedom. It means an end for the victim partner, but for the narcissistic partner, it means a new beginning.
This is because this breakup does not affect them. They will quickly move on, busily spend their time on finding new targets who have their wants; somebody who can excite them, then the cycle starts again. Unfortunately for narcissists, termination does not always mean they would get their hands off their previous partner forever.

There are times that they will return, they come back to cause trouble and regain control. They could use the same tactics to seduce their partners again, but if it doesn’t work, then this time they use emotions. Narcissists are begging and crying for their partner to come back. If you have this relationship, learn your lesson and never come back. These emotions are empty and hollow, they are not out of love, they are due to the desire to regain control over the previous partner. The narcissist will promise you that they have changed for the better.
The above stages occur with narcissistic partners in a romantic relationship alone. It could happen with friends, kinships, or any kind of relationship. Narcissists could be anybody in our friends, family, or acquaintances. We must be equally mindful in our relationships with other people.
