Number 10: ‘Lighten up’.

Or they may say you are exaggerating, why are you so sensitive and I was just joking. When the Narcissist has offended someone, and the person makes the Narcissist aware of this offence, they are not content to just apologise. Instead, they try to minimise what they have done and make the other person feel like the bad guy for challenging them.

Number 11: ‘You are crazy, or you need help’.

The final phrase Narcissists love to say to their victims is: ‘You are crazy, or you need help’. This is the final nail in the coffin. Because after all their confusion and mind games that are designed to trip us up and affect our mental and physical health, they seal the deal by calling us the crazy ones or making us feel like the ones who need fixing. And we are even more crazy when we try to expose how evil they actually are. Narcissists not only like to call people crazy, but they try to drive them crazy with their manipulations and abuse.

But to conclude, these phrases are in no way innocent or harmless. They are designed to break you down and give the Narcissist the upper hand. This is why it is so important to distance yourself from a Narcissist. Because they care about no one else but themselves and are willing to say and do things to gain control and keep control.
