7. Values cooperation.
Narcissists are looking for a target who values cooperation. They are looking for someone who doesn’t enjoy confrontation and genuinely tries to get along with everyone else. This is important to them because they know that they need someone who really genuinely wants to get along, because they will have a higher probability of getting this person to overlook all of the lies they know they will be telling you in an effort to just keep the peace and get along.
8. Competitiveness
Another important personality trait that narcissists are looking for in a target is competitiveness. They are looking for someone who has perseverance and is going to keep trying to make things work. They want someone who isn’t going to give up on this relationship easily because it’s not in their nature to do so. Again, they know that they have a far greater chance to manipulate and exploit a person with this character trait than someone who does not possess this trait.
