There is discontentment in their family life and relationships. This includes romantic relationships, friendships, etc. So, for example, although the Narcissist can have adorable children and a loving, loyal partner, it is not enough for them, and they will cheat, neglect, and abuse everyone in their household.
The Narcissist likes to find fault where there is none. And will create problems to justify their decisions in stepping out or completely walking out on their families. They would ignore and triangulate people, gossip, and incite drama all for their entertainment. Happy relationships do not keep a Narcissist happy; they actually get bored with that and prefer it if there is confusion and conflict.
 Narcissists get bored with all their relationships, they appreciate no one, they would take others for granted, and are always in search of fresh new sources of supply.
