Number 9: They will try to change temporarily to get you back.
If a narcissist is blocked, they’ll try to change temporarily. This is because their goal is to get you back and they want to do whatever it takes to make that happen. They will try to appear kinder, more caring, or less intense. Narcissists may even apologize for their behavior and make promises they never intend to keep. But, narcissistic promises are meant to be broken. Can you relate to this?
They may also make grand gestures of love such as buying you a gift or sending flowers. Narcissists may even start acting like their former selves or the way they were when you first met them. Don’t be fooled; narcissists will only stay this way for as long as it takes to get what they need from you again. Once that happens, things will go back to normal or even worse.

Number 10: They will replace you with a new source of supply.
When the narcissist realizes they can’t control you anymore since you’ve entirely cut them out of your life, they’ll replace you with a new supply source. Chances are, narcissists already have someone you are unaware of in their lives. They feed off admiration and attention from others, so they try to find a new supply source as quickly as possible.
Narcissists are relentless in their pursuit of a new victim. They do not establish genuine relationships with people. Instead, they simply move on to another source when they can no longer get it from you. Once you can resist a narcissist, they will eventually give up on trying to win your approval and move on with someone else they can lure.
Remember, do not fall into their traps again; better to be equipped on how to handle them so you can take backer power. Cutting them off in your life and on social media channels will help you protect yourself from the abuse you can experience.
