Number 8: They will think about how to regain control over them again.
How do narcissists feel when their former Supply is looking good? They feel a lot of things, but there’s one thing in particular on their mind, how to regain control over them again. Narcissists are addicted to the supply and connection they have with others; it makes them feel important to know they’re the center of attention.
When their supply leaves them and goes off to live their own life, it can feel like death. If you leave them, they’ll try to get back into your life by playing mind games with you or using other people against you. They might even try to convince you that the reason for your breakup was really because of another person. This way, they can make themselves look better in Your Eyes by saying: “I’m not the bad guy here”.
Narcissists have an innate need to be in control of people and situations, so they’ll probably try to reel you back into their web with Promises of Love, attention, and affection. If this doesn’t work, they may resort to name-calling or gaslighting. If you don’t respond favorably, they’ll move on and find someone else who will.

Number 9: They will feel like they’ve been rejected.
Narcissists are very sensitive to rejection and abandonment. They do not want to believe that their former supply has moved on and is doing well without them. When the former Supply is looking good, it can feel like a rejection to them. Narcissists also have a hard time understanding that people can change, grow, develop their talents, and become better than they were before.
Narcissists believe they are perfect in every way, so when others outshine them, it’s almost like an attack on their ego for being lesser. Once a narcissist sees that their former Supply is looking good, they won’t be able to take it. They’ll try to sabotage your life in every way they can. They’ll try to hunt you, make you feel bad about yourself, so you’ll come crawling back to them. The best way to deal with this is by ignoring them all together; don’t give them the time of day or even acknowledge their existence.
