7. Being made fun of.
The seventh thing they worry about is being embarrassed or made fun of. Narcissists are very petty and insecure. They can dish it out but they cannot handle it when it comes back around. Some Narcissists also practice self-deprecation to beat others to the punch but it is also a way to fish for compliments.
Basically, Narcissists do not want to be the butt of anyone‘s jokes. They are easily offended and anyone who laughs at them or embarrasses them will be marked for destruction.
8. Not having enough control.
One of the last things they worry about is not having enough control. Manipulation is the key to control. Narcissists want people who they can manipulate to do, feel, and think the way they want them to. That is why they go for positions of authority. It is very important that the Narcissist is in a position of influence. It is important that they are in a relationship with someone that they can manipulate and control.

But because they are never content, they always think they can have more. So, they are always on the hunt for new sources of supply that they can bring under their control.
But to conclude, as we can see the Narcissist’s paranoia and discontent are what keep them on edge. They are also obsessed with protecting their image. All of their worries are very self-absorbed.
