3. They May steal your money.
Narcissists can be very sneaky. While you may have been able to put up with your narcissist’s constant gaslighting and manipulation, it’s important to remember that they can also be criminals. They are often pathological Liars, which means they will lie about everything. They May more likely steal money from you when you’re not around; they may do this and hide it so you have no idea where it went.
They will do this in a way that makes it look like an accident or something else, but it’s them stealing from you. Narcissists may go through your wallet or purse looking for cash and credit cards. They’ll use them without thinking twice about it when they find them. They might also sell something of yours without your permission, like a piece of jewelry or an expensive electronic device.
4. They will gossip about you behind your back.
You might think narcissists are all talk, but they’re also quite fond of gossip. They will tell others what a horrible person you are and that they wish they had never met you. Narcissists may even say that they are better off without you; they may even claim that you abuse them. They want everyone to believe that you are the villain and they are the victim.
Gossiping is a way for narcissists to build themselves up without effort, so don’t be surprised if they try to make you look bad when you’re gone. Narcissists are extremely vindictive people who have no remorse for their actions, so don’t expect any apologies when it catches them gossiping about you.
5. They will attempt to turn your friend and family against you.
They will tell them that you are abusive, crazy, or have no idea what you’re talking about. Narcissists will also try to make you look like the bad guy in front of your friends and family. They’ll do this by making up stories about you, or worse, using their false charm to convince others that the rumors are true. Then, they’ll start painting themselves as the hero who saved you from yourself and possibly even made up for your mistakes.
Narcissists often use all tactics to turn others against you, so it’s important to be aware of what they’re doing. They are trying to isolate you from the people who care about you so they can have more control over your life. They tell lies, makeup stories, and exaggerate things that happen between the two of you. They may also try to give others a negative impression of you.
