Number 5: Histrionic personality disorder.
Someone with histrionic personality disorder always wants to be the center of attention. They will do anything to draw attention to themselves, whether through their behavior, choice of clothing, or actions. Their behavior is often dramatic and over-the-top. They can be highly opinionated because that is another way of focusing everyone’s attention on them. They are emotional and easily influenced. Their outward appearance is important to them, they’re going for a look that will make heads turn.
Their emotions fluctuate a lot and can change very quickly. They might imagine that other people care for them, even when that isn’t the case.
Number 4: Narcissistic personality disorder.
Someone with a narcissistic personality disorder will have an inflated sense of self-importance. They are arrogant and want others to admire them. They display a sense of entitlement and will often take advantage of others. They don’t really have empathy for other people, they’re just focused on themselves and they think everybody else should be focusing on them too. They simply don’t notice other people’s needs- they think they’re somehow special or different.
Being powerful is important to them, whether real or imagined. If they feel that others don’t appreciate how successful they are, they are prone to boasting or exaggerating. They want others to sing their praises and tell them how wonderful they are.
Now we get to the third cluster of personality disorders, Cluster C. These are people who are anxious or fearful.
