2. They walk ahead of you
This is such a frustrating and rude behavior that so many narcissists do to other people. And they really make an effort to walk in front of you. They want to give off the appearance that they are so important. They’re always in a hurry, always having somewhere to go. And of course, the hidden message of walking five feet in front of you is, in their mind, a reminder of how important and superior they are to you.
Narcissists always like to believe that they are so much more important than other people.
3. They interrupt
Because god knows nothing, you or anyone else could be saying, could be as important, smart, relevant, or meaningful as what is coming out of their mouth. They interrupt constantly, and they tend to be completely oblivious to the fact that they’re doing it.
4. They talk to themselves
Ever notice that? For example, let’s say you’re with a narcissist, and you have an encounter with someone else, where the other person didn’t give the narcissist the reaction they were wanting, then you go to get in the car. You can tell the narcissist is irritated and flustered with this interaction, and while you’re driving the narcissist starts quietly talking to themselves.
It looks like they’re having a conversation. They are off in their own little world oblivious to anything else that’s going on and talking to themselves. What they are actually doing is rewriting history. They are taking this interaction that they just had, that possibly made them feel bad about themselves. And they are rewriting the narrative of what just happened into a version that suits them.
They adjust the reality of what happened into a narrative that makes them feel special and superior.
