2. Self-harming.
When facing extreme pressure and being burdened by overwhelming thoughts, do you harm yourself in the process? Harming oneself is also a symptom of CPTSD because of narcissistic abuse. Many people do self-harm because of the overwhelming emotions they feel after being abused by a narcissist. It starts when they feel that they are not good enough or they do not deserve to be in this world.
Up until they will scratch themselves, their bodies, and other parts like their limbs or head. This rather puts you in a dangerous situation because this is the time that you need medical and mental attention in order to prevent any further damage. Better to put you in a rehabilitation facility in order to monitor your every move.
A BOOK: How To Kill A Narcissist: Debunking The Myth Of Narcissism And Recovering From Narcissistic Abuse
1. Suicidal thoughts.
The most terrifying thing to do is thinking of ending your life with your own hands. Suicidal thoughts come in if your emotions are at its peak. This is the state where no one was able to help you and it may result in extreme depression in life. We couldn’t imagine people committing suicide because they think there will be no cure for this treatment. It’s a good thing that you can restrain yourself from getting to this point. Think of your loved ones on how they would feel if you intend to end everything with your own hands.
If you’re going through this phase, remember to always think about your happy memories. We never knew that these could be experienced by anyone who went through narcissistic abuse. How much are you suffering from it? Does it affect your actions? And are you having the symptoms mentioned? It’s better for you to consult your psychiatrist, or read some books at this link. I’m sure they will help you a lot while going through all this. Peace and blessings.
