6. Physical symptoms.
Symptoms of CPTSD are not only limited to emotions or mental state, it can also cause physical illness as well. This includes fever, headaches, chest pain, stomach aches, dizziness, and other types of physical illness. The more you feel emotional and the more you think about it, the more it affects your health.
You’ll sometimes feel stressed over something that is bothering you for days, weeks, months, and even years. The range of the worry is not limited to how long, as long as you think about it and remember the pain you experience, you will really feel the effects of it physically. And it’s also not limited to normal sickness. So better to have a real medical checkup if you are experiencing physical symptoms.
5. Distorted perception of the abuser.
This entails becoming fixated on your abuser’s relationship with you. It can also include a desire for vengeance or giving the abuser complete control of your life. Confusing, isn’t it? This is another symptom of CPTSD, it’s whether you take revenge on what your abuser did to you or you come back to continue your relationship with him or her.
