5. “I’m not going to argue with you”.
One of my all-time favorite phrases to use against a narcissist to throw them off their game is to simply say, “I’m not going to argue with you”. If you want to have this discussion, you are going to have to have it with someone other than me, good luck with that one, but I will not engage in this conversation with you, and then walk away and completely disengage. Works like a charm!
6. “You are entitled to your opinion”.
And finally, one of my all-time favorite comebacks to use to disarm the narcissist is to say, “you are entitled to your opinion, but remember, opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one, and then, walk away”. By doing this, you are devaluing their delusional beliefs that their opinion is so superior and accurate to yours or anyone else. Comparing their opinion to an as*hole is a funny and effective way to disarm a narcissist.
