3. Daily Disappointments.
The third guarantee Narcissists have in this life is a perpetual disappointment as their expectations are unreal. The demands they have for the people around them, their sense of entitlement. They set themselves up for disappointment again and again, as they will never be able to control and hurt everyone the way they would like. They will not get everything they want, no matter how much they feel they should.
Narcissists suffer from a huge sense of entitlement, and with that, comes an endless number of disappointments, which will leave the Narcissist angry and depressed often. They are like toddlers throwing their toys out of their pram when they cannot have their way. Narcissists face disappointment every day because they are delusional and don’t want to accept that they cannot control every aspect of their life or the people around them. Their need for control over everything and everyone in their life is what sets them up for continual disappointment.
So, what we can surmise from all this is that the narcissist’s life is in reality a sad life. And that’s why it annoys them when others are happy and enjoying their life because they are cursed with discontentment, disappointment and fear.
People tend to wonder if Narcissists can be helped but you cannot help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. It is the Narcissist’s decision to want to change. As much as we may want them to change, it is not our choice to make. And for Narcissists, they prefer to keep faking it. They Prefer to fake being someone they are not. They prefer to fake contentment, happiness, being in love and anything else to fit in.
They are the great imposters who create their own misery, and then want to punish others for it. They are self-absorbed to the point where they cannot love or care for anyone but themselves. Their unsatisfaction with everyone and everything leads to them becoming bored and restless. People are but pawns that they desire to control and dominate. Deception is their ticket to love and relationships, as they are incapable of true love and commitment.
So, disappointment, fear and discontent are some of the only things they are guaranteed every single day in this life. And their only desire is to make others as miserable as they are. Remember that no matter what a Narcissist has or how happy they pretend to be, their life is not as good as they would like you to believe. So never envy a Narcissist.
