So the malignant covert narcissist would go after a low-level covert narcissist and scam them into even marrying them if that’s what they are after. And then, the mask comes off. The relationship will be a tumultuous one, a relationship full of resentment, infidelity, unforgiveness, and hate. It’s a daily power struggle. And the lower-level narcissist usually succumbs to the malignant narcissists, and live out the rest of the sorry existence in misery until the malignant narcissist is finished with them, which maybe never.
If it’s a codependent narcissist joining forces with a malignant narcissist, that will be a deadly duo because the codependent narcissists will more or less become like the malignant narcissists, and will enable them and support them. That is a match made in hell.
So to sum it all up, when it comes to narcissists coming together romantically, it’s very strategic. The overt and covert narcissist does not mix well, but to covert narcissists, it can happen but one of them will be a malignant covert narcissist. And again, it’s usually to get something substantial like money, position, power, prestige, something along those lines. There is no love in it, what’s love got to do with it, nothing, nothing.
