#6: I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about.
Let’s say you bring something up to the narcissist about something they’ve done. What does a narcissist always do when you confront them with something that they’ve done wrong? Especially, this would be typically a covert narcissist. They’ll say something like, “I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about.” They love to use the word honestly. A lot of liars do that. It doesn’t mean that everybody who uses the word honestly is a narcissist. Common sense, please. But a lot of narcissists will say something like this. I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about. And then what they’re going to do is they’re going to disappear and not text anything after that.
Because they do know what you’re talking about, but they’re gaslighting you. And they’ll do this by text because maybe you’re afraid to confront them directly and you text them about an issue and they come back at you and they say, “I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about.” It’s all gaslighting. It’s all to play the dumb act and to get out of taking accountability. And then they totally go dark on you and they stop texting.

#7: Do you love me?
I’m throwing this one in that narcissists always, always do. And this is their way of testing you. A narcissist will say something like, “Do you love me? Do you still love me?” Narcissists want you to come back and say, “Of course I love you. I love you so much.” They want to make sure that they’ve got you hooked. So they’ll ask it. They’ll send it maybe during the day. You still love me? Do you love me? Or that could be even after you have an argument with them and they send that because they want to be reassured. They want to be validated that you still care. That narcissists need you to care. So they’ll send that text, ” Do you love me?
Now, I’m going to throw in one last one for you guys. And this always happens as well. When you don’t text the narcissist back right away, they expect you to text them back right away. They could sit there and get back to you when they feel like it. But if you do the same thing and you play that game and you don’t text them back right away, what they’re going to do is they’re going to text you something like, “Well, I guess you’re busy with someone right now,” as if inferring that you’re cheating on them or you’re making someone else a priority. This is to get you to react. This is to get you to text them back. They want to know that you haven’t ghosted them and that you’re not doing something. They’ll actually kind of like infer it and see if they get a reaction out of you.
So when you don’t text the narcissist back right away, they’ll say something like, “Oh, guess you’re busy.” Or, “Guess you’re busy with somebody. Guess you’re doing something right now with somebody.” Some may be so brazen as to say, “Well, I guess you’re cheating on me.” They love to accuse you of what they’re doing. They love to accuse you of cheating. God forbid you do what they do. God forbid you don’t get back to them right away, or you know you’re not at their beck and call.
