Stage 1: The seduction stage.
This is the stage where narcissists turn the tables around; they make great friends out of strangers, then they aim to woo their chosen partner. In this stage, they make everything as colorful as flowers and rainbows. The narcissistic partner showers the other with perfect love, making them feel extra special.
Ever heard of love bombing? This is the stage where the narcissist will show you a taste of love bombing, tricking you to believe that you both are perfect for each other. The missing piece they are looking for to complete them, making you feel that there is nobody else like them out there; someone capable of providing for your needs and wants.
It may be romance, time, material luxury, or anything you can ask for. They are spoiling you with only the best things one can imagine. But all these excessive displays of perfection and affection are just part of the plan, for this is the narcissist’s way of luring the other person. All of it are preparations to carry out their hidden intents smoothly; a facade of selflessness to cover for their selfish objectives.
Narcissists are aware that their consistent display of perfection and affection results in dependence, and once it happens, the partner becomes the victim; a victim becomes the moth drawn to a flame despite its heat.
