1. Any Question That Challenges Their Actions Or Behaviours.
The first type of question is anything that challenges their actions or behaviors, whether, in the past or present, narcissists do not like their actions questioned. Narcissists think that whatever they do has to be right, their way is the best way, and who is there to dare think differently. So a simple question like why do you do this or why did you do that will make the narcissist wide-eyed and instantly go on the defensive.
A question like that is seen as a challenge and a critique, and we know narcissists hate criticism. So it all goes downhill from there.
When it comes to their past feelings, narcissists would love the past to stay in the past, especially when they are the ones who screwed up. They would wish to never hear a word of it again, and they will see it as a personal attack for you to bring up such an event again.
Narcissists are not trying to learn from past feelings, they just want to move on and pretend like it never happened, and that is why they keep making the same mistakes because they refuse to even identify with their failings in the first place.
