1. Addiction to Being Admired.
Narcissists crave admiration like most people crave food or water. They want to be praised, complimented, and noticed all the time. This need can become an addiction. If no one is giving them attention, they may become angry, depressed, or start acting out to get noticed.
They may fish for compliments by putting themselves down just so others will disagree and praise them. They might wear flashy clothes or tell grand stories about their success—even if none of it is true. They constantly look for applause and approval from others.
This addiction can be exhausting for the people around them, who feel pressured to always boost the narcissist’s ego.

2. Addiction to Mirror Checking.
Many narcissists are obsessed with how they look. Some develop a strange addiction to looking in mirrors. They might check their reflection dozens of times a day—fixing their hair, adjusting their clothes, or admiring their face.
They may use every shiny surface to glance at themselves—car mirrors, windows, phone screens. It’s not just about looking good. It’s about feeling in control, feeling perfect, and feeling important.
This behavior may seem silly, but for narcissists, their appearance is tied closely to their self-worth.
3. Addiction to Social Media Attention.
Social media is a goldmine for narcissists. It gives them the chance to show off, get likes, and be seen. Many narcissists become addicted to posting selfies, life updates, or anything that makes them look special.
They carefully plan their posts to make others think they have a perfect life. They might post pictures of expensive items, fake vacations, or show off their relationships—even if those things are fake or exaggerated.
They may check constantly to see how many likes or comments they got. If they don’t get enough attention, they might delete the post or become upset.
