Number 3: Narcissists don’t care about you and your feelings.
Narcissists don’t care about you; they just want to use you to get everything they want; they’re only interested in themselves and what they want and they will do whatever it takes to get what they want. They will make you think that they love you but the truth is that they don’t love anyone, not even themselves. They may tell you hurtful jokes and make you feel bad about yourself, which shows that they don’t care about how you feel.
If someone loves you, they should be willing to put your needs before their own, right? Narcissists don’t do that; narcissists only care about themselves instead of what’s best for others. They only care about making sure that they look good to other people because they feel better about themselves.
Number 4: Narcissists never ask about your life or interests and seem genuinely uninterested.
Narcissists are terrible listeners; they never ask about your life or interests and they seem genuinely uninterested in what matters to you. They love to talk about how great they are, especially at first, but if you pay close attention, you’ll notice that their stories don’t share much detail or depth. You will rarely hear anything substantial coming out of their mouths.
It’s all surface stuff: “I did this or “I know that person.” Instead, it’s just bragging or name-dropping with no substance, but narcissists aren’t just bad listeners, they’re also bad communicators. They’ll talk about themselves all the time but they won’t give a straight answer when someone asks them a question. Instead, they’ll deflect and change the subject back to themselves or their accomplishments to know how wonderful they are.
Number 5: Narcissists make plans with you and cancel at the last minute without regard for how that might make you feel or inconvenience you.
Ever had an experience of having plans with a narcissist? They are so good at planning but never at executing. The worst part is they usually cancel last minute and never apologize for any inconvenience they’ve caused. Narcissists don’t care about your feelings and they don’t care about whether or not their actions are inconvenient for you. If anything, they enjoy the fact that it bothers you, they like being able to control your emotions and make you feel powerless.
One of the signs you have played is that narcissists may also have trouble remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates. It’s not that they don’t care about other people, it’s just that they’re so focused on their own needs and wants that they don’t think about anyone else’s.
